A Beginning {Medford, NJ Wedding Photographer}

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are staying warm this chilly winter!  I’m typing this in my Snuggie and fingerless gloves.  Brrrrr!  As a celebration of the New Year I am renovating my website a bit and adding some new pricing and lots of new pictures!  I’m also starting 2010 with a fun new theme that I’m going to use to design my wedding pricing and I’m going to try to carry through my blog and website.  The great Joe Buissink made such an impression on me when I attended his seimnar last year that he has indirectly inspired my new theme.  I’m paraphrasing Joe here but he basically said that you can learn a lot about yourself just by looking at the pictures you’ve taken.  He said “the most important thing about photography is who YOU are.”  And it’s true, I do see a lot of my own childhood represented in the photographs I take.  One of the most obvious examples is trees.  I grew up playing in the woods and my friends and family know that I just have a thing with trees.  I can count hundreds of them out my window right now.  And they do show up in my portraits all the time because I love to pose people and babies on or near trees.  So with that concept in mind I selected another “theme” from my childhood and adult life that will help me in designing my wedding package pricing as well as my blog titles – even this one.  Anyone care to take a guess of what my new theme will be or do you need a few more hints?

Oh and since I refuse to make a blog post without including pictures, here are some recent pictures of the family just hanging out at home:

So that’s what we’ve been up to lately.  Keep checking in to see if you can guess what my new theme will be before I release it in my 2010 Wedding Price list.
